Bonfires and Illuminations by Heartstring Samplery

This design is based off of a letter that John Adams wrote to his wife Abigail on July 3, 1776.  The design says "the great anniversary Festival ought to be Solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Games, Bells, Bonfires, and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more."

Model Fabric:  27 count Antique White banding by Wichelt
(or whatever fabric you prefer)

Gloriana: Bellagio Red (3 skeins), Almond (2 skeins), Pacific Blue Dark (3 skeins)

DMC:  3777 (6 skeins), Ecru (5 skeins), 3750 (6 skeins)

The model was stitched with Gloriana silk thread.  The amount of cotton thread needed is an approximation.
