Betty Sumner 1822 by Red Barn Samplers

Betty seemed to be a very grateful 10 year old, as the biggest word in her sampler is Gratitude. She shares two quotes/verses:

"Do every thing in its proper Time, Keep every thing to its proper Use, Put ever thing in is proper place."

"Ask not Riches, Wealth or Honour but ask Wisdom and Knowledge for thyself and God shall supply all thy need."

The quotes/verses and her name/age/school are done over one. And aren't the colors beautiful? Reminds me of sea and sun.
