Well, it's called a Photo Holder - and you could indeed put your favorite photo in there. Or your favorite stitchy quote or verse. But I use mine as a chart key holder. I make a copy of the chart key (symbols and floss colors), and pop it in there so I'm not constantly flipping back and forth between pages to figure out what the next symbol calls for. It sits on my stand next to my chair, always visible.
