Uree C. Fell 1856 by Red Barn Samplers

Uree was born in 1816 in Bucks County, PA, the fifth child of fifteen born to her parents. Her sampler includes a beautiful cherry border, unique alphabets, and the verse: I gaze upon the down bird, in autumn seek its southern nest. And when the song no more is heard, I deem there is a land of re." - referring to the land of rest.
