Margaret Beattie 1866 by Hands Across the Sea

Margaret was twelve when she completed this sampler at the Female School in Ardrossan. She included beautifully bright colors and a serene scene of playing with a pair of bunnies. In later years, she and her husband had twelve children. The first ten were boys (!) and the last two were girls!
